Fee: The two-day intensive course is $3,800 ($3,600 for IAIM instructors/Student instructors), which includes the manual, 1-year membership with Massage in Schools Association, and an international certificate on completion of the course and exam, acknowledging qualified instructor status.

~ How the MISP activates the brain and nervous system, reducing stress andanxiety thereby creating more opportunities for learning
Mia Elmsäterand Sylvie Hétu created the Massage in Schools Program in 2000, as a means ofrealizing their vision that every child in the world would receive positive,nurturing touch every day. In 2000, the Massage in Schools Program was launchedin the UK primarily as a tool for bullying.
Research andScience continue to support numerous benefits of massage in all systems of thebody, most notably the brain. This is why the MISP benefits may include:

~ an environment more conducive to learning
~ reduction in bullying and aggressive/inappropriate behavior
~ self respectand respect for others
The Massage inSchools Program is a successful and professional program for positive touch forchildren. It includes a fully clothed, child-to-child massage routine done onthe back, neck, arms and head. The entire routine takes less than 15 minutes.It is exclusively for children ages 4 to 12 and is given and received with thechild’s permission after parental consent. The MISP instructor will be presentalong with the child’s classroom teacher during the massage.
